URGENT SCAM ALERT: October 4, 2023 – Fraudulent Website!
Beware of a malicious scam targeting our former website! The fraudulent website, www.mysecretshoppers.com, is currently active, and it displays a mirrored version of our legitimate site. These scammers are posing as Secret Shopper®, enticing you to submit Shopper Evaluations that have shoppers put in credit card information. We need to emphasize, that Secret Shopper® NEVER requests your credit card information under any circumstances.

There is a website with the URL www.secretshoppers.com (note the additional "s" at the end). This site is attempting to obtain your credit card details. Please exercise caution, as none of the links on this website are functional except for the Credit Card Processing and Payroll Processing pages. Under no circumstances should you input any personal or financial information on this site.
GIFT CARD SCAM: We've become aware of multiple scams related to gift cards. Please understand that we will never send you a check and request you to deposit it before conducting assignments with us. Furthermore, we do not have any programs that mandate the purchase of gift cards.
WEBSITE: Secret Shopper® is in no way affiliated with Observati (secretshoppr.com, notice it is missing the "e"). We NEVER ask for payment in order to shop with us.
- Secret Shopper® is not involved in these fraudulent practices.
- Secret Shopper® does not charge shoppers a fee to affiliate with them.
- If you have paid someone for information or sign-up, check your statement for the correct company name and contact your financial institution to stop the charges.
- One serious scam involves counterfeit cashier's checks or money orders sent by someone claiming to be from Secret Shopper®. The shopper is asked to cash it, wire most of the funds, and keep the rest as payment. This is a scam and can lead to financial loss and legal consequences.
- Secret Shopper® does not send unsolicited text messages asking for money or personal information. If you receive such messages, contact your local law enforcement agency.
- Fraudulent companies may use names or web addresses similar to Secret Shopper®'s in their ads and emails.
- The legitimate website for Secret Shopper® is https://www.secretshopper.com.
- Beware of websites with a different address claiming to be Secret Shopper®; they are not authentic.
- Secret Shopper® does not solicit sign-ups via email; the only way to apply is through their official website.
Suggested steps to take if you have been scammed:
- Contact your local police department to file a report.
- File a report with the Internet Crime Complaint Center at the ic3.
